《行尸走肉》这部冗长的美剧，在某种意义上说无疑是对现代文化审美的一种反应，透过剧情表现出，人类的一种生存的危机，人与人的互相猜疑和面对行尸的威胁，人们时时处在危机当中。同时小团体之间的团结共同面对危机，无疑也是当今现代生活的一种体现僵尸形象的核心矛盾,在于其肉体和灵魂的分离,所谓人性的属性, 在僵尸身上遭遇了空前的挑战"特别是当人们看到亲人朋友外形的僵尸,如何面对他们便成了永远值得讨论的话题"当代僵尸形象是随着美式B级片粉墨登场的,但经过近半个世纪的发展,这种特定形象己经成为流行文化符号。当人类在瘟疫大爆发，政府医院法律全部瘫痪之后，面临的种种生存考验，人性考验，信任考验，你会如何对待?我相信观众会对电视剧中的每个角色都有好与不好的评判，但是我肯定如果真的有那么一天也许我们做不到他们那样，被丧尸咬后必死无疑，没有药物可以治疗，一旦被咬，你再也不能称之为人，甚至连畜生都不如，因为你没有任何感觉和情感，除了打爆他的头没有任何办法将丧尸杀死。那种随时会被丧尸攻击的恐惧，你无法抗拒。当疾病控制中心的博士告诉瑞克人类已经全部感染，活着的人死后全部变成丧尸，你不知道在没有任何保护没有任何希望的情况下活着是一种多么艰难的选择。同样的，在丧尸世界生存的人，在与死神较量中，为了一时的胜利，做出卑鄙的举动，一而再，再而三，最后变成一种习惯，人类文明将被埋于尘土，经风吹历雨刷，最后只会消失，而那些苟且活下的人呢，孤立无援，混在丧尸群里，拖着残腿，摇晃着身躯，散发着腐肉的恶臭。人性在当今的社会中，很多部分都被人们刻意地隐藏起来，人们在不同的场合，面对不同的人都以不同的方式来处理事情和人际关系，这当中就体现出了不同的人性特点，反之，不同的性格注定有不同的方式。
